THE X-FILES Rewatching Marathon season IV
The fourth season of
the X-Files shows the first sign of confusions that the mythological
episodes will have from now on, this is probably due to the fact that
the major plot is revealed in the first three seasons and from now
Carter just put on some major new story arcs to keep on the show.
Herrenvolk" (1) "Tunguska" (9) "Terma" (10) Tempus Fugit" (17) "Max" (18) "Gethsemane" (24) During this seasons the mythological episodes started to be very diluited, anyway we still can follow pretty much the story. The scene is stolen by the black oil during the major part, notable is the finale where we have Scully lying about the death of Mulder. |

"Zero-Sum" (episode 21) -It’s
a great episode, one of the reasons is that A.D.Skinner is the main
character, forced to do the dirty job of the CSM in order to save
Scully.

"Small Potatoes" (20) – A good funny episode.
3.
"Memento Mori" (15) – This one started the cancer
subplot. It’s a great episode, incredible the acting of the duo,
emotional and of course to watch.

"Synchrony" (19) – Interesting story and for the first
time it’s about time travel.
5.
"Leonard Betts" (14) – Best MOTW episode of the season.
An eating cancer mutant is the main villain and there’s the first
reveal of Scully’s cancer.

"Sanguinarium" (6) – Gory episode featuring possessed
surgical doctors killing their patients.

"Home" (3) – Classic and beloved episode for its crude
story.

"El Mundo Gira" (11) – El Chupacabra! Not an awesome ep.
But yet watchable.

"Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man" (7) – This is
centred around the story of the CSM, it’s ok , well done , but
personally it’s not one of my favourite here.

"Elegy" (22) – Ghosts story, pretty standard.

"Unruhe" (2) – Scully is kidnapped again, but still it’s
an ok story.

"Paper Hearts" (8) – This
one I always
thought that should have haired during the second seasons, at this
point it makes no sense.

"Demons" (23) – Meh, Mulder is accused of murder and
does not remember what happened. Not much here.

"Unrequited" (16) – An invisible vietnam reduce is
killing generals for vengeance. Same thing of another episode from
season 3. Forgettable.

"Never Again" (13) – Not a great episode, besides the
idea of the tattoo is just stupid.
16
"The Field Where I Died" (5) – This
is one of the episodes where I always fall asleep, it’s centred
around the idea of reincarnation and a past life of Mulder.
17
"Kaddish" (12) – Religious episode, skip it.
18
"Teliko" (4) - Not a great one. Probably one of the lowest
of the season.
